Visit of Kaptol, the cathedral from the outside (under reconstruction after the 2020 earthquakes), Dolac Market, Tkalčićeva Street, the Stone Gate, St. Mark’s Square, St. Catherine’s Square, and Lotrščak Tower.

The guided tour follows the eastern axis of the Green Horseshoe of Zagreb’s Lower Town: King Tomislav Square, Bishop Josip Juraj Strossmayer Square (the great Croatian benefactor to whom we owe much of the heritage of the second half of the 19th century), Zrinjevac or Nikola Šubić Zrinski Park. We then cross the Ban Josip Jelačić Square to continue to Kaptol – Zagreb’s oldest district, Tkalčićeva Street, and the Upper Town
(Visit the exterior of the cathedral; it is under reconstruction after the 2020 earthquakes).

We recommend to visit The Atelier Mestrovic. The artist’s family house is the location of his museum, a charming place in Mletacka St.
The Museum of Naive Art with colorful canvases stands beside the Greek-catholic church.
Few steps to the south, on the corner is the immensely popular Museum of Broken Relationships.
Next to the beautiful St. Catherine’s Church there is a Klovic Gallery – recently with extraordinary guest exhibitions!
